Hooray for Today – the McDonald’s Sing-Along Promo

Every time we listen to The Morning Rush at home and hear the catchy, LSS-inducing radio version of “Hooray for Today,” the McDonald’s current jingle, my 1-year-old son literally stops whatever he is doing and dances to it. The song is quite simply made, with bright and cheerful lyrics that are easy to remember, making it fun to sing along with.

Hooray for stops and gos
Hooray for colors and quick hellos
Hooray for surprises that walk my way
Hooray for friends I’ll make, oh hey…hey!

Hooray for treats that make me smile,
Like magic stripes that fill the sky
Hooray for days that make me say,
Oh Hooray for today!

So it should be fairly easy to join the promo now going on at the show. Simply sing along to the jingle and change parts of the lyrics in your own creative way to bag P1,000 worth of McDonald’s GCs.

It’s no wonder people join the promo every day. But since they began the contest, there has been one that has stood out. Sheila dedicated her “Hooray for Today” version to her ex-crush/best friend, changing the lyrics this way.

DJ hosts Chico, Delamar and Gino thoroughly enjoyed it, even singing the changed lines with her a couple times and dubbed her version as the “Best one ever.”
